So many good memories of our time serving together at Beaverton Christian Church. Tons of laughter and fun times - never a dull moment when you were with Jim. He had such a big tender heart for people and was also a great encourager. Corrine and I loved singing in the choir and Jim really poured himself into leading and encouraging others in praise. I wouldn’t be surprised to find him leading a choir in Heaven! God bless Jim!

Everyone talks about Jim’s joy, laughter and generally jovial persona. I really enjoyed that part of Jim. He made me laugh, just watching HIM laugh! What doesn’t get shared as much, is how soft his heart was for people. He would come in, sit down and with tears in his eyes, tell me he was afraid he had offended someone. “I feel so bad. How could I have done it better?” He really did want others to thrive in serving the Lord!

Jim was the ultimate music pastor at Beaverton Christian Church- our Easter and Christmas performances were only special because Jim directed/orchestrated them. The minute he left, a little magic left as well. I still remember the whole choir being so special bc Jim passionately conducted them. You could feel Holy Spirit in the room. I loved hearing his sweet voice when he would joke with Nick and Nick in high school, and rolling his eyes at their antics. He will forever be missed, and is irreplaceable to the Roseta family. I feel like there was a story about him up in the rafters at a Christmas performances sprinkling snow from the top, and him saying.. more snow, more snow!! 😆 Loved his love for performance.
